Our economic system is based on Planned Obsolescence what make sure we are tempted to replace products quickly. In a world that man himself has created, we are dominated by mindless things. Everyone is born as a consumer and is brought up with the idea that you can buy ‘everything’. We make a purchase on the basis of three criteria: The need, price, and quality. But how can we decide to buy a garment without his background information? Where do you base the quality on and can you link it to a fair price? As a visual storyteller, I feel the aim to show in an accessible way the urge of changing the current fashion industry. With my installation ‘SCARY SALE: HOW MUCH ARE YOU WORTH?’ you enter the role of a product. You will experience the current perspective or a product. From the idea let The Material Talk, I have given the word to contemporary sold garments.
